September
2001 - Be
sure to join us for "A DAY AT THE RACES." September 30th at the Santa Anita Race
Track. We're going to have a grand ole time.
- As
we prepare ourselves for 2002 round of Verizon Bargaining we must show our solidarity
to the company. Strength and solidarity determine what we loose or gain during
bargaining. We must send a clear message that we will strike if we have to. We
must begin by joining other Verizon local unions by wearing a CWA T-shirt every
Thursday. If you do not have a CWA T-shirt contact your Executive Board Member
in your area.
- On
September 1st you will receive a bargaining survey, in order for your voice to
be heard the survey must be returned to the local no later than Friday, September
28th.
-
October 9th-27th, we will have our critical bargaining items meeting. You will
receive information via mail and at your work location.
- Our
purpose is to have all the bargaining items completed and prepared to begin bargaining
by the beginning of January.

it out, election time is right around the corner!
- Be
