Highlights of Tentative Agreement
Wages:
4% Lump Sum at Ratification
(For Employees employed on ratification day)
1% GWI effective 03/04/07
2% GWI effective 03/02/08
2.5% GWI effective 03/01/09

Effective 01/01/08 (This will replace Group Universal Life)

Team Incentive Plan
Eligibility – All regular full-time, regular part-time and seasonal hourly employees on a designated team for 30 calendar days or more. The target payout is $275 at 100%. The payout range is 0% to 120%.
Pension Plan:
The minimum will be increased effective 01/01/08 to match the Regional CORE Contract.
Spousal Surcharge:
Effective 01/01/08 employees who have a spouse on their insurance will be subject to a $40.00 a month surcharge. Verizon will opt employees in automatically. It will be the employee’s responsibility to opt out of this charge if it does not apply. The surcharge does not apply to all. See attached MOA for exceptions.
Working Above Title:
California CORE (Article 28, section 2.4) will apply. Employees will be paid a differential for actual time worked in a higher wage classification.
Job Bidding and Transfers:
Employees will be recognized under the California CORE (Article 34). The 18 month hold time will be waived for employees hired prior to 01/01/07. The employees hired prior to 01/01/07 will fall under the current 12 month time-in-title. Transfer holds may be waived at management’s discretion.
Lunch Periods:
California CORE (Article 37) will apply. Employee’s choice will be considered for ½ hour, 45 minute or 1 hour lunch periods.
Relief Breaks:
California CORE (Article 40) will apply. Two (2) mid-session breaks of 15 minutes.
Call Out Pay:
The two (2) hour minimum will apply only when dispatched to a work location. Call-out without dispatch to a work location will be paid for time actually worked.
Bereavement:
A correction to family members will be made. Spouses have been excluded and will now be added.
Comprehensive Medical Plan:
“Me-Too” Clause
The parties agree that should any benefit or wage improvements be negotiated with IBEW that are beyond those provided in this settlement the same will be applicable herein.
