Dear Members,

We at CWA, Local 9586 have a great opportunity in this coming year of 2006, to go out into the workforce and mobilize, educate and organize the unorganized. Now is the time to bring into our CWA family, workers who are in companies small or large and industries that will not respect the rights of its workers.

CWA believes that workers deserve the right to freely and fairly from a union. Employees have the right to have their wages, working conditions and benefits protected by a legally binding contract.

One of my goals this year is to organize Verizon Wireless. This company is the second largest wireless provider in the country. Verizon Wireless is non-union and it’s set on staying the way. Will you help me change this? I need members to serve with me on the organizing committee. It is not required to be a steward in order to serve on this committee, just willing workers.
